IT IS Your Style – to quench the Agony within,
To cast a spell on me, like dulcet scintillation*…
But I would rather wrench* a slow tired grin
And thank You for the time and the attention.

IT IS Your Style – to help me into Your Decoy
And to regale me with some brew of Toxic Glamour…
But Spring suggests again its perfumes to enjoy
And lilacs advertise a realm to ramble.

I guess*, You can put on Your Golden Status Dress,
I guess, You can employ Your everlasting reasons…
But I would rather watch the waterfall recess,
With crystal-clear sprays entrancing breezes.

I guess, You can pre-view Your Doom by candlelight,
I guess, You can escape extremes in any trouble…
But let me have the dawn, the lone lake – and smite
Spine-Chilling Depth, asleep in mist and marble.

YES, You can go on – by saying «Why on Earth?»
And I would rather give a glance of desperation,
Imbued with life-long twinge, imbued with Soul worth,
And also – with ash replacing passion…

YES, if You Seek*, You can still ponder and X-ray –
What brought my rhyming urge to this confessing scaffold?
– It is about strings, heart-strings and distant ways,
And – made of silver tunes. Not to be raffled…

But I would rather drink – excitedly and fast –
The thawing river gush, recalling it forever…
And hit the blade of grief… Blood-curdling… At full blast*…
Re-Echoing the Song of Past and Never.
